Shortage Occupations
National Shortage List
The shortage occupation list is a list of jobs that the United Kingdom needs that are seen as critical, but for which there is a shortage of skilled people in the UK to undertake these positions.
The benefit to the employer of this list is that an employer will not have to test the labour force, which is the term the government use, which ultimately means you do not need to advertise the position if you have found someone who has the qualifications, and experience if required, to do the job.
